They have this curiosity and lack of fear when on land or sea ice where they will walk right up to you to see what you’re all about,” writes #YourShotPhotographer Liz Mockbee. “I hadn’t planned on photographing these guys close up, but when they waddled within an arm’s reach, I went with it and decided to make it an exploration of detail. I couldn’t get enough of this beautiful bird. This guy was perfection, not a feather out of place.”—“The detail is just awesome in this photo Liz. I love that you let the penguin travel slightly outside of the frame so we can really focus on the details on his feathers. "Fluctuat Nec Mergitur" like a ghost ship in the night, a beacon that inspire us, Paris is the city of light. After the fireworks show (theme was about love) I like the gunpowder smell and this mystic fog around the lights... A reminder to always follow the path of enlightenment and love despite dark times.
